Shoot 2022-11-16-102211

This gallery has a few recent birding outings, as well as some backyard shots. We have a tree with berries right outside a window, and that's where I finally saw my first Cedar Waxwings at the house. The tree first attracted a bunch of Robins, which over the course of a few days became more and more numerous. I normally see one or two Robins in the yard only a few times per year, but we had ten or more Robins in the yard at once going crazy for the berries. All that activity must have attracted the Waxwings.

The above hashes-<date>.txt file contains SHA-256 hashes of all the photos from this shoot. The hashes-<date>.txt.sig is a signature of that hashes file, created with my PGP key. The signature file itself was written to both the Bitcoin Cash and Algorand blockchains, in the OP RETURN and Note fields respectively, using the transactions below. In short, this proves that these photos and the signature both existed at the time the transactions were written to the Bitcoin Cash and Algorand blockchains. This blog post has more details.
