Shoot 2026-06-24-114424

Flycatchers and Lazuli Buntings make up the majority of this gallery, plus a few species photographed on a trip up at elevation in central Oregon.

On the trip, I paid special attention to fast-flowing rivers and was lucky enough to see American Dippers at a few locations. I also got some shots of Clarks Nutcracker, though they were very high in trees, and Common Nighthawk. A Mountain Bluebird I was not expecting would have been a lifer, had it not been for the recent trek I went on to photograph some closer to home here.

The above hashes-<date>.txt file contains SHA-256 hashes of all the photos from this shoot. The hashes-<date>.txt.sig is a signature of that hashes file, created with my PGP key. The signature file itself was written to both the Bitcoin Cash and Algorand blockchains, in the OP RETURN and Note fields respectively, using the transactions below. Lazuli Bunting, Western Flycatcher (Pacific-slope)

This is a unique shot of two species at once. The flycatcher went after the Lazuli shortly after this, despite it looking the other way around in the next photo.

Lazuli Bunting

This bird has pretty clean plumage, so I'm assuming its an adult female.

Lazuli Bunting

Lazuli Bunting

This bird is a bit more ratty looking, so I guess it's a younger bird and can't be assumed to be female.

Western Wood-Pewee

I'm pretty sure this is my first at home (in yard) photo of this bird, though I've heard it around the house a number of times.

Pileated Woodpecker

I don't get to photograph this bird often at all from the yard.
